Sports: understand the price and the market
A sports bet has more than one condition: the price, the selected outcome, the period covered and the settlement rules. A correct match score does not by itself tell you whether every related market has won. These guides explain the terms without recommending a wager.
Core topics
- Decimal, fractional and American odds
- Markets and multiples
- Settlement and official results
Before you begin
Write down the market name and whether it covers regular time, overtime or another period. Separate total return from profit. Read postponement and cancellation rules before treating an event as final.
